ALEXANDER, Lester Ray - WWI

Lester Ray Alexander, aged 53, of 925 Lincoln Way West an overseas veteran of WWI died at 12:45 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital. He had been in failing health for the last 18 months. Mr. Alexander, who moved here 30 years ago from Frankfort, Ind had been an employee of the American Wheelabrator & Equipment Corporation until recently. He was born in Fountain County, Indiana Dec 3, 1895. He was a member of Mishawaka American Legion Post no 161 and Mishawaka Aerie No 2083, Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving are two brothers, Donald and Kenneth C. Alexander of Indianapolis and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Lorena Hazard and Mrs. Myrtle Walker of Mishawaka. Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Home until late this afternoon when the body will be taken to the Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Bunnell cemetery, Frankfort.  - kbz
